Follo - Walking Safety App

Follo is a simple-to-use walking safety app that, when used for a journey, monitors your device until you reach your destination, automatically alerting your Key Contacts via SMS if something unusual occurs and you do not confirm your safety.

4 innovative Safety Triggers look out for you during your walking journey, so if you travel too fast, stop moving for too long, deviate from your route, or your phone becomes inactive, Follo will send a timed and security-enabled notification to your device, checking in on you.

If you do not respond by the end of the timer, then your pre-selected Key Contacts are automatically sent an SMS text message, containing your last recorded location and the reason for the alert.

All data about your other journeys remains completely private. Your Key Contacts will only be alerted when a Safety Trigger is activated, and you do not respond.

Follo doesn't require a user's Key Contacts to be signed up or have the app themselves in order to receive SMS alerts.
