One way to check is to hold the phone close to a stainless steel knife and see that the indicator changes.

How it works?
The app uses the magnetometer to measure the magnetic field when your phone is placed near ferrous metal objects.

Important: Remove any covers from your phone, they could interfere with the sensor.

- Calibrate the sensor when the readings are invalid.
